For years, I, like most people, went to what I now refer to as traditional dentists. From childhood on, I continued to be bothered with tooth decay, especially in my molars. This took place over my lifetime one filling after another until virtually all of my molars had the silver amalgam fillings. As time went on with the large fillings, my teeth began to crack outside the filings and crumble away. I also began to be bothered with really bad breath that I could even notice myself. Of course, that could be caused by things other than bad teeth, but I began to wonder if I had decay under my old fillings that was not showing up on X-rays. After dealing with many years of patchwork dentistry, only to have them fail again, I began to think there must be a better way.
I really didn’t want dentures as my front teeth were all sound and I am other wise healthy. In short, I really wanted to find another way to keep my teeth and my overall health. I saw an advertisement on WHO TV-13 for Restoration Dental, and decided it was time to meet Dr. Jay Jensen and stop the cycle of patchwork dentistry. I had and exam and found out there is a better way! There was decay under most of my old fillings (see middle photo above)! My teeth are restored! NO Dentures!!
It did not take fifteen or twenty appointments to fix fifteen teeth…only four counting the initial exam!! I am very satisfied with the care that I received at Restoration Dental by Dr. Jensen and his team, and would certainly recommend this type dentistry to anyone in need of a better way.

"My decision to seek treatment for TMJ and cosmetic dentistry was not an overnight decision. I agonized over the decision of seeking any help. After years of pain, fear and lack of self-confidence, I decided to just see what someone could do for me and what the process would entail.
I looked to my local dentist and my daughter’s orthodontist for referrals to a good cosmetic dentist initially. I did not have a good experience with contacting these offices. The staff seemed less than enthusiastic, and when I explained my situation, they said they couldn’t do the cosmetic work until after my teeth were corrected.
I had seen advertisements for Dr. Jay and Restoration Dental, and gave them a call. I was greeted with what I call “open arms”. My first appointment was Halloween, and the team was dressed up as pirates. Dr. Jay was the first Dr./Pirate I had ever met! That alone extinguished some major anxiety for me. Throughout my consultation, Dr. Jay and Joelle listened to my issues and figured out a solution. I knew that TMJ Disorder was a probability, which was confirmed. I also had a burning desire to have nice smile again.
I was given a list of what the process of treatment would be and the cost. I never felt any pressure to make a decision that day. I felt immediately like part of the family, and today over a year later, it is even more so! I have never been to an office where everyone is interested in who you are and how you are doing and sincere about it.
Before coming to Dr. Jay’s office, I had constant headaches, jaw pain, jaw popping, dizziness, loose teeth, posture issues, clenching and grinding of my teeth, ringing in my ears, and constant neck aches. I probably had at least 95% of the cardinal symptoms of TMJ everywhere I researched. These are symptoms that are correlated with TMJ…our first issue we needed to tackle. I did a K7 work-up and was fitted with an orthotic to put my jaw on the proper path of closure and at the proper place in all dimensions. Then braces were put on my teeth which, along with the orthotic, have relieved me of my symptoms. I am excited every time I think of the end result of beautiful teeth, however, with the bonus of no more pain.
Restoration Dental is the only place I recommend to anyone. Dr. Jay does it all…K7 work-ups, orthotics, cosmetic dentistry, regular dentistry, etc…. Dr. Jay is very talented and I am so confident in his abilities that I don’t even think twice about the process.
Take it from someone who was scared to death and embarrassed to even ask the question if I could ever have a beautiful smile. I did ask and it is the best decision I have ever made. Don’t let years go by like I did…go for it! You have nothing to lose except for the fear of not wanting to smile!"
