Hello there and welcome to Restoration Dental! My name is Joelle, and I am one of the Registered Dental Hygienists here. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and how my journey has brought me to Dr. Jay!
After graduating from Dowling High School in West Des Moines, Iowa in 1986, I completed my training for Certified Dental Assistant in 1989 from Des Moines Area Community College. While working as a dental assistant, I decided to pursue a career in dental hygiene so I continued on with my education and completed my Dental Hygiene Degree with an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Des Moines Area Community College in 1995.
Over the course of many years, I’ve had the privilege to work for quality dentists in the Des Moines area and I am extremely impressed with the high quality of work that Dr. Jensen provides to his patients. He is constantly striving to provide the latest that dentistry has to offer and he stands behind his work. As far as continuing education, I have never been to an office that obtains as much information as this one! Our advanced training from the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) has completely changed the face of how we practice dentistry and hygiene in this office…outrLVI education is priceless! Not only are we (both hygienists) licensed in anesthesia, but also trained and recognized by the Academy of Laser Dentistry through LVI. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this team and its philosophy!
When I’m not at Restoration Dental, I’m generally with my two boys following their sporting events. I also enjoy cooking, baking, entertaining guests and family, and exercising.
