Hi there! I’m Jamie, and I am the Office Manager for Restoration Dental! Now most of you may not believe this, but, I truly love my job! The ability to spend more time with my family has been my true reward for coming to work for Restoration Dental! Not only do I feel fortunate to be a part of this incredible vision that Dr. Jay has, but I have been fortunate to be one of the first team members on board when our doors opened in June of 2001! We strive each and every day to make a difference in our patients’ lives. This was exemplified when my mother came to visit Dr. Jay in the fall of 2001, and he restored her in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). She had been to her dentist in Northern Rural Iowa so many times that her dental office said she was their most-frequented patient! She was miserable. She had a partial upper denture, a bridge, and neck pain. She hated the way she felt and looked. Not only did Dr. Jay fix all of that and make her functional again, but he also made her look 10 years younger! (You can view my mom’s case on this very website!) The day he placed the finished product into my mother’s mouth, her life changed! She cried, I cried, Dr. Jay cried, our whole family cried! I knew right then and there that this was where I was destined to work! So, how did I get here? Let me tell you!
After graduating from high school at LDF-SEMCO in 1990, I went on to get my Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1994. After becoming a Registered Nurse in 1994, I was presented with the opportunity to become a Director of Nursing shortly after my career began. I held the Director of Nursing position for over 6 years at Polk City Healthcare Center.
My son is my pride and joy! He has a passion for trains, watching movies, and making me laugh. He is always on the go, and an absolute delight to be around! Everyday is something new and different!
I am also a face-to-face program adviser in Iowa for Care Credit. Care Credit is a healthcare financing plan that is in 70,000 offices nationwide. It allows patients to say “yes” to treatment that they might not otherwise be able to without this option. I have been training now with Care Credit for several years. It allows me to visit different healthcare settings and meet many new people!
In my spare time, I enjoying reading, cooking, getting together with family, and traveling.
