Hello there! Welcome to Restoration Dental! My name is Dina Jensen, and I am Dr. Jay’s wife, and the Bookkeeper/HR Director for the office. Now before I tell you a little about myself, I just want to take this opportunity to tell you how much it means to me to be able to work with this incredible team! You see, this dental office is not your typical dental office. We truly have our patients’ dental health and well-being at the top of our list. I can’t tell you how it feels to be able to help someone who never felt like they could smile, walk out of our office with a new, healthy smile and life-changing attitude!! The passion for dentistry with which my husband has is contagious and he is able to provide options to patients that not many dentists can. I always find it amazing that when we are with a group of colleagues, he seems to excite others around him and get them fired up about dentistry!
Like Dr. Jay, I too grew up in Polk City, Iowa and graduated from North Polk High School, (Class of 1988) and went on to graduate from the University of Iowa in 1993. My undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Arts in Interdepartmental Studies where I focused on Aging Studies, or Gerontology. I then went on to finish my Master of Science Degree in Human Resource Management at the University of Central Texas in 1998. I have been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator since 1995 and have had the privilege of running nursing homes both in Texas and Iowa. In 2001, I became a Registered Dental Assistant in the State of Iowa and have taken numerous continuing education courses in the field of dentistry, particularly courses at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). I am also currently in Law School at Concord University, and I have recently taken a job as the Marketing Director for Walnut Ridge at Clive, a senior independent living community.
While having two children keeps me plenty busy, I still find time to attend most Iowa Hawkeye Football games/bowls and I am also a huge Iowa Wrestling fan! I am an Iowa Hawkeye Marching Band Alumni and I participate in our University of Iowa Homecoming festivities every year! Go Hawks!!
